Welcome to Grassy Narrows Mental Health Services

By accessing and using the services of Grassy Narrows Mental Health Services (“we,” “us,” “our”), you agree to the following Terms of Service. Our mission is to provide culturally respectful, holistic mental health support to the adults of Grassy Narrows First Nation, and we are committed to ensuring your experience with us is both safe and respectful.


1. Scope of Services

We provide a variety of mental health and wellness services, including but not limited to:

  • Crisis Intervention and Immediate Support
  • Counseling and Therapy (individual, group, and family)
  • Substance Abuse and Addiction Treatment
  • Trauma-Informed Care
  • Traditional Healing Practices
  • Holistic Wellness Programs
  • Telehealth and Virtual Counseling

All services are designed to be culturally sensitive and meet the unique needs of our community. Services may be subject to availability and eligibility requirements.


2. Privacy and Confidentiality

Your privacy is a top priority. We follow strict confidentiality practices to protect your personal information. Any information you share with us during counseling sessions, support programs, or other interactions is kept private, in accordance with applicable laws.

3. Eligibility for Services

Our services are primarily available to adult community members of Grassy Narrows First Nation. Certain services, such as youth programs and telehealth, may have additional eligibility requirements. We reserve the right to verify eligibility as needed.


4. Use of Services

All services provided are for mental health and wellness support. By using our services, you agree to:

  • Participate respectfully in any sessions or programs.
  • Use our telehealth and virtual counseling services for intended purposes only.
  • Refrain from disruptive behavior that may negatively impact other participants or staff.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to services for individuals who do not adhere to these guidelines.


5. Telehealth and Virtual Services

Our telehealth services are designed to offer mental health support remotely. By using telehealth, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You have access to the necessary technology and internet connection.
  • You will maintain a private, secure environment during telehealth sessions to ensure confidentiality.

Technical support is available if you need assistance setting up your telehealth session.


6. Community Events and Group Activities

Participation in community events and group activities is voluntary. By joining these events, you agree to participate respectfully and abide by any additional guidelines set for the event. For healing circles and traditional ceremonies, we ask that all participants engage in a spirit of openness, respect, and cultural sensitivity.


7. Limitation of Liability

Grassy Narrows Mental Health Services provides support services intended for community wellness. However, these services do not replace professional medical or psychiatric advice, diagnosis, or treatment. We are not liable for any damages, losses, or negative outcomes resulting from the use of our services.

For life-threatening emergencies, please contact emergency services or go to the nearest hospital.


8. Amendments to Terms of Service

We may update these Terms of Service to reflect changes in services, policies, or legal requirements. All changes will be effective upon posting to our website, and we encourage you to review the Terms periodically.
